Stone Setting and Re-Tipping
With every day wear; claws can be worn down and weak. This risks the stones falling out. Fortunately re-tipping is something which we can do to repair the damaged claws and re-set the stone. It is an essential skill for a jeweller ensuring that the piece of jewellery goes on to be loved for many more years. We visually inspect the setting area under a microscope before any repair work commences. From here we will make any repairs necessary and make sure it is back to it’s original condition.

From engagement rings to old family heirlooms; ring re-sizing is a standard procedure for a jeweller, to make sure you can carry on loving pieces of jewellery. At James Martin Jewellery we will measure your finger size and adjust your ring size up or down for you. Afterwards, your ring will be polished, cleaned and inspected under the microscope; checking the security of the stone.
